Here at South Dublin Strength & Conditioning we take pride in treating everyone that comes through our doors equally – no matter what level they are at physically. With this in mind we feel it is critical that people start training here within a certain hierarchy. This is for numerous reasons but namely to avoid unnecessary injuries and frustration from a lack of progress.
Some people may feel that they are capable of more but in our experience and in similar gyms around the globe, it is constantly being proven that once an individual gains a solid understanding of each exercise, time to develop sound movement patterns in a controlled environment and at a relative intensity, they will make far more gains going forward.
So, depending on an individuals level when they come to train with us here, they will either start with;
- 3 personal training sessions – with the target of working on the main movements that feature regularly in our workouts and to gain a good understanding of why they are used.
- The fundamental classes – here the individual can spend some time cutting their teeth in the group environment and work at a lower intensity where the focus is still on the fundamental movements in our programming.
- The mainstream classes – once it is established that the person has been training in a similar facility and they are familiar with the movements and intensities used, then they can jump in at the deep end!
